Neurology is a medical
specialisation that studies
the structure, function
and development of the
both the central and the
peripheral Nervous System
under both normal and
pathological conditions,
using all the current
techniques of research,
diagnosis and treatment.
We have 2 Neurology specialists
attending neurological
patients daily in both
the Polyclinic and the
hospitalisation room,
apart from being available
to the other specialists
as consultants.
They also work together
with the Cardiovascular
Institute in the study
of patients with vascular
risk or disease, and with
the Institute of Integrated
Cancer Treatment (ITIC)
in the evaluation of neurooncological
patients.
